Pumpkin Patch Pals

Nathan had so much fun with his playgroup friends today at the pumpkin patch. With no spooky imagery, this place is truly made for preschoolers, and Nate had an absolute ball checking everything out...

He spent lots of time in the haystack maze. Each time he would find his way out, he'd turn around and run back inside to do it all over again...

Nathan told me "driving the red tractor"
was his favorite part of the day...

(last year)

I knew Nathan had worn himself out when he agreed to actually sit in a wagon while waiting to go on the hayride...

Oh, how I love these kiddos and their moms!

............

And, though I'm not really a "belly shot" kinda girl, I was asked to include a picture of our little one on the way...

A speaker at the Catholic mom's group I attend recently described motherhood and pregnancy in such a beautiful way, saying that for a short while a mother has the honor of carrying two souls within her body. What an amazing privilege.

Pumpkin Express

October just wouldn't be the same without a trip to our favorite pumpkin patch...

Just for Grins

I noticed Nathan frowning as he studied the wedding pictures displayed on a table our the entry way, so I asked him what was wrong. Apparently my wedding gown and veil concerned him because he replied, "Mommy, I don't want you to be a princess."

Melt. My. Heart.

The Great Outdoors

While looking though the pictures we'd taken this week I couldn't help but notice that we have been spending a lot of time outside. Chalk it up to the lovely fall weather, a welcomed change from the summer that wouldn't end! As I loaded Nathan into the car for school on Tuesday he said, "It's so nice outside." My thoughts exactly, Buddy!

Nate painted and made prints with apples on the patio...

We visited Homestead Farms and met some goats and chickens. Nathan also picked out two baby pumpkins from the farm stand...

We listened to music and watched a wiener dog race at Oktoberfest...

And we just plain had fun...

(Super Nate and a glimpse of our growing baby)

We hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather, too!
