15 months

Our little man reached the 15 month mark last week! At his first visit with our new pediatrician, we learned that Luke is now about 32.5" tall (89th percentile) and weighs 23 lb., 7 oz. (34th percentile). Don't be fooled by his lightweight status, though — this guy can eat! He has been known to put away 6 regular-sized pancakes in a single sitting, and if Nathan walks away from the table without finishing his meal, Luke is almost certain to come along behind him to help himself to what's left on Brother's plate. This is often a good motivator for Nate to stay seated and eat his food — ha!
Luke's love for Thomas the train shouldn't surprise me (after all, his brother lived and breathed Thomas for a good year and a half of his life), but it tickles me nonetheless...
(train in one hand, book about Thomas in the other)

Lukey also gravitates to anything Old MacDonald or farm animals, and he delights in telling you what sound each animal makes. He is a good little communicator and understands much of what we say to him, too. He is still very much a mama's boy and a snuggle bug.

Happy 4th!

We started celebrating Independence Day on the 3rd with a party at Aunt Jenny and Uncle Ryan's beautiful new house, which is gloriously close to ours!

The celebration continued at home on the 4th with wonderful family (and way too much food!)

(Lil' Man had Cheeto face and fingers)

Jason and Nathan had an awesome Super Soaker battle just before the rain rolled in...

On Friday we cooled off at the pool...

I love that the little guys are making the same face in this shot (I think it's called the "Put your camera away, Mommy" face)...

And we got to spend time with our beautiful new niece, Reese Camden, today. She is almost 5 weeks old and just as precious as they come!

Superman's Birthday at the Children's Museum

We recently visited the Children's Museum of Houston for Superman's birthday party, where kiddos were encouraged to come dressed as a super hero for the day. Nathan sported his Superman costume for the celebration, while Luke channeled Batman. We arrived before the mega-crowd hit (hallelujah!), and both of the boys had an absolute ball. This is such a cool place for little minds to grow.

Super Nate was totally unfazed about going out to lunch afterwards in his costume. Love it. I think he brought a smile to many people in the restaurant (including his mommy).
