Our new adventure

Here's hoping it isn't possible to have blogging privileges revoked due to infrequency of posts! Thank you for checking in on us despite my recent lack of sharing. Let's just say the past few months have been more than a little hectic — ha! We have spent the last several weeks settling into our new house and community and are already feeling very much at home here (though I think we may be unpacking boxes until our children are in high school). We are already enjoying the fruits of being so close to our families, which is a tremendous blessing. Just last night a family who lives two doors down came over bearing a plate of cookies and a warm welcome. They have a daughter and two boys who are the same ages as our boys. Thank you, Lord. (and they just happen to be Catholic Aggies!) Both Nathan and Luke have adapted beautifully to the many changes thrown at them, and we are grateful.

(I see more of Jason in Nathan every day)

We had a week's time between closing on our new house and having our belongings delivered by movers. Grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles deserve all the credit for keeping me sane during those days! I managed to leave the memory card for my camera in Fort Worth during that week, but PawPaw can always be counted on to take pictures, and he snapped several shots of our week of adventures...

Once our belongings arrived we were able to begin getting settled (and I was reunited with my memory card!). The boys and I have had fun exploring Cinco Ranch and Katy, finding our new library and discovering the many pools and parks that surround us. Did I mention that Luke is now walking? He is so precious as he teeters around, but I have a feeling that I am about to have my hands very full!

(Can you tell Luke was ready for his nap?)
