Big Brother, Little Brother

Can you tell that Nathan is over the moon about his baby brother?

Blessed Beyond Measure

We welcomed Luke Benjamin Olivier into the world with tremendous joy on Wednesday, April 20th, at 1:59 pm. My sweet baby weighed an impressive 9lb., 12 oz. at birth and measured 21.5" long. During our first night in the hospital the nurse told me that Luke had already outgrown the newborn-sized diapers (apparently he is trying his best to catch up to big brother). Still, he feels so perfectly tiny in my arms. Our hearts are overflowing...

Why Hello, Due Date

Here is a picture of my little man on his due date. Since induction increases the risks involved with VBAC, we are still waiting and hoping, though I have been doing plenty of walking and cleaning like a crazy person to try to encourage some action. I think our "Tax Day" baby must have heard that the deadline was extended to the 18th and thinks he still has a few days left before his birthday — ha!

Weekend Happenings

Several of Nathan's friends from school/our church gathered this weekend for a good ol' fashioned Easter party at the botanical gardens. We enjoyed a picnic, Easter egg hunt, and lots of great games. It was a wonderful time for the kiddos and families!

Later, Nathan helped Daddy wash the car...

But this might have been slightly more fun...

Soaked and so happy!

Meanwhile, I am now 186 weeks pregnant (okay, maybe it just feels that way). Baby Luke's due date is just 4 days away, and I have been giving him plenty of pep talks about life on the outside. We are still very much hoping he will come on his own but will be incredibly grateful to meet him, no matter how he arrives!
