Horned Frogs + Halloween

I admit, I am woefully behind on updating the blog — thank you for not giving up on me! This weekend was great fun for our family. Aside from being Halloween, it was also TCU's homecoming weekend. Being the proud horned frog that I am, I gathered our family to meet up with my great friend (and college roomie), Leslie, for the parade and festivities on Friday evening. Nathan was completely captivated by the passing people and floats. Did I mention that TCU is ranked #6 in the BCS polls? Or that we squashed UNLV on Saturday night 41-0? I'm just sayin' :)

The kiddos were invited to wear their costumes for the Frogfest carnival. Nate finally put on his conductor's hat (for a few minutes, anyhow)...

Happy boy...

Noni and Nate (who was distracted by balloons)...

Leslie's husband will be returning from a year-long tour in Iraq at the end of this month. We are so grateful for his service!

On Saturday afternoon, just after I had put our bowl of trick-or-treat candy on the dining room table, Nathan decided he needed a "pop" (lollipop). He pulled the bowl onto the floor and was searching for his sucker when we discovered him...

That evening Milla Mouse and her family joined us for trick-or-treating. The kids did wonderfully and were such fun to watch as they asked for treats. Thank you, Fort family, for a very fun night!

PawPaw managed to get a video of Nathan doing a sugar dance just before bathtime that is just hilarious. It's not every day you get to eat a lollipop and skittles before bed!

Mr. Nate just keeps getting cuter!

Love that TCU shirt Jason's wearing! How much did you have to pay him, Carrie? ;)
