Zoo Day

This morning as we drove to the zoo to meet our playgroup friends, rain and even a bit of hail poured down on our car. Apparently we are crazy. Luckily, the storm died down just before we arrived, and by the time we reached the kangaroo exhibit there was nothing but sunshine. Nathan was so excited to be at the zoo today...


The lions are cohabitating for the spring and were so sweet to watch. I was grateful that their displays of affection were of the G-rated variety (I am not quite ready to explain any National Geographic moments)...

"Rooaaaaaar!"

We also visited the zoo's beautiful new Museum of Living Art, which opened just last week. The space itself is so incredible that I was able to completely ignore the fact that it houses many of the slithering creatures I often try to avoid at the zoo. Nathan had such fun exploring this amazing new facility with his friends...
