This post is months overdue, but I didn't feel like I could share pictures of Nathan's first day kindergarten without first blogging about his last day of preschool, even if only for my own memory keeping. Nathan truly loved his time as a "Busy Bee" and grew in so many ways during his last year as a preschooler.
On his first day of preschool (2 years)
and his last (5 years)...
Nathan's class put on an end-of-year program for parents in May. Luke, who was sitting with me in the audience, kept shouting out, "There's Nathan! Hi, Brother! Is that Nathan? What is Brother doing?"
(I promise they weren't dancing the Macarena)
These shots of Nate and his best buddy Michael are precious to me because they are so, well, him. I can't tell you how many days I would pick Nathan up and drive home listening to stories of where he Michael "work" or what super heroes they are...Luke also had his last morning at The Little Gym in June. Though he enjoyed his year of classes there, I don't think either of us were sad to be finished. He much preferred running and playing to learning the various gymnastics skills each week...and I can't say that I blamed him! It was so nice to have an activity just for him, though, and I met some wonderful moms there.
