Catching Up

I have been terribly slow to post lately (so sorry, Aunt Heather!). Nathan's vocabulary is really blossoming, and I have been doing my best to capture his many new words on video, forgetting to snap pictures in the process. This morning after Beasts class (Little Gym), Nate was all smiles as he played with Thomas...

Later, he painted pumpkins...

Nate is usually hesitant to get the paint on his hands, but when I started tickling his fingers with the paint brush he became very excited about getting messy (that's what finger paints are for, right?)...

This evening we drove to Fort Worth to meet Ron Hall and Denver Moore (who wrote and lived the story Same Kind of Different as Me — if you have not read it, you must.) The book signing was held at the book store near TCU where Ron and Denver shared some very important conversations in the story/real life. I tried to be cool, but I was just so excited to meet two such inspiring people...

Jason graciously took Nathan to the children's section of the store while I waited in line. It was nearing Nate's bedtime, but he was so thrilled to play with the train table that you would never have known he was sleepy. Or maybe it was just that he loved getting to spend time with his Daddy...
