Triathlon

Saturday morning we were so proud to watch Jason and Charlie compete in the Metroplex Sprint Triathlon at Joe Pool Lake. They each completed a 400 meter open water swim, followed by an 11 mile bike ride and a 2 mile run (Whew! I'm tired just writing about it!)

Nathan, Dad, and I were the cheering section. We had a very early start to the day, but Nathan hung in there like a trooper. He even made a sign for the guys...

The athletes were divided into 5 different heats according to age. Here is Jason's group starting the race...

I would not have been able to muster a smile during the final leg of the race, but Jason seemed to have no problem doing so. He even waved and yelled, "Hi Buddy!" to Nathan, which he loved.

So, so proud of you, guys! Charlie even placed third in his age division!
